Ruth Molins back to musicians
Ruth read Music and English Literature at Cardiff University, studying flute with Susan Buckland. Since graduating with honours she has had tuition from Anna Noakes and Michael Cox. Recently Ruth has collaborated with guitarist Clive Betts as 'The Piazzolla Duo', with pianist James Keefe, and with 'cellist Hilary Boxer, performing in various Devon-based venues and festivals such as Exeter Cathedral Chapter House, The Bike Shed Theatre, Exeter Library Music Room, Bicton College, and Dawlish Arts Festival. Actively interested in contemporary classical music Ruth has been involved with many of the 'Nonclassical' nights in Exeter this year. As flautist with Exeter Symphony Orchestra Ruth recently took on a solo role for John Rutter's 'Suite Antique'. She was awarded the ABRSM Performance Diploma with distinction in 2010. Ruth runs her own flute and piano teaching practice working in schools, colleges, festivals and courses across the South West. In 2012 she was flute tutor on the 'Summer Chamber Music' course in Exeter.
